Could Justin Bieber’s ‘Never Say Never’ Get a Best Doc Oscar Nomination?

It may sound like a crazy notion, but Bieber fever has apparently grabbed hold of Hollywood’s upper crust. According to a source, The King’s Speech and The Fighter weren’t the only pictures being buzzed about at post-Oscar soirees like the Vanity Fair party. Never Say Never, the Biebs’ $63 million grossing documentary and 3D concert film, had impressed its share of Academy members also.

“You’d be surprised at the caliber of people who came up to Justin at the Vanity Fair party at the Sunset Tower, most of whom had seen the movie [Never Say Never] and loved it,” says an insider. “There was even talk of putting it up for an Oscar next year in the documentary category. People appreciate that it’s not just a kids’ movie.” (THR’s Bill Higgins also noted Bieber was the star who awed the other stars at the Vanity Fair bash. The young singer would chat with someone and the buzz would immediately be: “What is Mick Jagger talking to Justin Bieber about?”)

Indeed, when it comes to a future in film, Tom Hanks reportedly offered his own advice to Bieber, telling the 17-year-old pop phenom, “Don't become a jaded professional actor” and “good luck to you.”

Bieber, director Jon Chu and Paramount Studios can rest easy for now. The deadline for submission to the Academy Awards is typically scheduled for early December, at least nine months away. On the other hand, some might say it's never too early for an Oscar campaign.

HollywoodLife.com Exclusive: Ryan Good Tells Us How He Became Justin Bieber’s ‘Swagger Coach!’

Justin Bieber always looks fly, but it doesn't come without help. Meet the man behind the Biebs' hot style, Ryan Good!

Justin Bieber didn’t just develop his swagger out of thin air! It came with some help from his talented, down-to-earth stylist, Ryan GoodHollywoodLife.com had the opportunity to chat with the man behind the swagger about how he became one of Justin’s most trusted confidants, the advice he gives the Biebs when it comes to girls (it worked with Selena Gomez!) and where he sees his “little brother”’s style evolving.
HL: Ryan, your official title is “road manager” but your job entails much more than that. Can you explain to us what you do on a day to day basis while traveling with Justin’s camp?
RG: I’m Justin’s stylist so I basically work with him to decide on what gear, etc. he wears. I’ve worn a lot of hats on the road with him over the past few years with none being more important than big brother.
HL: You were Usher’s assistant, how did that job differ from this?
RG: Haha. I was actually, and Usher will tell you the same, a terrible assistant. I made the transition to stylist when usher told me he admired my personal style and taste in clothing. He actually called me with the idea that I’d be a perfect fit in helping develop Justin as an artist.
HL: Where are you from, and how did you get in this game in the first place?
RG: I’m from Jupiter, Flor. I don’t know. I’m very blessed to be in the position I’m in. I’m just a beach boy from Florida who worked really hard and had some luck.
HL: Do you give Justin advice on girls? What kind of advice do you give him?
RG: I just tell him to be himself and never be afraid to laugh at yourself.
HL: How do you help Justin stay grounded and not get big headed?
RG: He’s got a few people around him that have his best interest always. The most important thing, way ahead of success, is that he continues to evolve into man of integrity.
HL: How can we expect Justin’s style/attitude to evolve?
RG: I think like any person, his tastes and personal style will evolve as he’s exposed to different things and as his music evolves.
HL: How did the swagger coach thing start?
RG: Haha. It was a joke between me and JB that I guess was something we could laugh at. Its funny how people took it as something real as ridiculous as it sounds. Haha. Clearly, I’m not cool enough to take on a position of that stature. Haha.

Justin Bieber Lands Two Albums In Billboard Top Five

The feat marks the first time this accomplishment has been achieved since last year, when Bieber also had two albums in the top five.
Justin Bieber has become such a musical sales force that now the only competition left is, well, Justin Bieber. After landing the #1 album last week with his Never Say Never - The Remixes, Bieber had to settle for #2 this week to make room for Adele's 21. But the rush of attention on the now-17-year-old pop star thanks to his big-screen debut in "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" helped propel his nearly year-old My World 2.0 back into the top five at #5, a feat that Billboard Associate Director of Charts Keith Caulfield said was a "very big deal."

In fact, Bieber is the first artist to have two albums in the top five at the same time since he achieved the same feat nearly a year ago. The last time it happened was in March of 2010 when 2.0 debuted at #1 while the singer's debut, My World, was at #5. Caulfield said that before that, it hadn't happened since October 2004 when rapper Nelly's simultaneous album release of Sweat and Suit both crashed the top five at #1 and #2.

If you go back to the last artist to do it without releasing two new albums at the same time, you have to look to May 2003, when 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die Tryin' was at #5 and his The New Breed CD/DVD debuted at #2.

"Any way you look at it, it's unusual," said Caulfield, noting that even with all their success on the charts lately, not even Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift have notched that achievement. "It helps that you have four Bieber albums to choose from on the charts right now."
